The Universal Workflow solution

Luklak’s core architectural principle is that Workflow is native to the Universal Object foundation.
Every object type you create-whether it’s a sales deal, a support ticket, or an equipment maintenance record
can have its own unique, purpose-built workflow.

Using the visual workflow designer, you configure every aspect of your process:

Statuses (The Stages): Name each step the work moves through (e.g., “Draft,” “Submitted,” “Approved,” “Rejected”).

Transitions (The Allowed Movements): Visually draw the allowed paths between statuses, ensuring processes are followed correctly.

Permissions: Control who can move work to a specific status (e.g., only sales managers can move a deal to “Won”).

Conditions & Input Screens: Enforce data quality by requiring specific fields to be filled before a status change is allowed, or trigger an input screen to collect new data.

Automation: Status changes serve as powerful native triggers for Universal Automation (Block 6).

The visual designer lets you draw complex flows, add conditional routing, and configure rules for each stage, eliminating the need for integration code or database administration.

The second tier is the design phase. A Function is the single master blueprint where the architect (you) assembles and configures the 9 components to solve a specific business problem, without having to code

  • Design Environment: This tier provides the canvas to define Object Types (e.g., Customer, Project, Asset), configure their specific Data Fields, design the Universal Workflow flow, and set the Permission Schemes.
  • Reusable IP: A Function is reusable and in the background—it is the plan, not the live work. You design it once, and it serves as the standardized process for your entire team.

The third tier is where the blueprint is deployed for execution, forming the actual work environments that users interact with daily.

  • Space: A Space is the living, breathing environment created from a Function. It is the container where teams interact with Objects and execute the designed process.
